Rory Delaney is an attorney licensed to practice in federal courts across the United States. He graduated from the University of Cambridge, England with a degree in law in 1990.
He worked as a solicitor for the global law firm of Freshfields, Bruckhaus, Deringer in their London and Paris offices between 1992 and 1994 and subsequently Steptoe & Johnson, Rakisons in London until 1996. That year he became a barrister of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn and concentrated his practice on criminal litigation, defending serious crimes and prosecuting on behalf of the Crown and Her Majesty’s Customs and Excise.
In the years 1996 to 2001, Rory conducted over seventy jury trials, covering tax evasion, importation offenses, computer crimes and armed robbery and just before he left England, he completed the successful prosecution of ten defendants in a $30 million drug importation conspiracy. In 2001, Rory and his American family moved to Boston. After taking the Massachusetts Bar in July 2002, Rory was admitted to practice.
